Dana Open 2022: Prize Money Breakdown and Winner Payout

Highland Meadows Golf Club is set to host the 37th season of the Dana Open this year. The field is based in Sylvania, Ohio and the tournament will run Thursday through Sunday. Eight of the top 10 golfers in the world are taking part in the head-to-head tournament this season. But what is the prize money for this year’s tournament?

The pitch is going to see a lot of surprises this year in the tournament as fan favorites and the top two players will be absent from the pitch. World No. 1 Jin Young Ko and World No. 2 Nelly Korda are the only ones not seen at the event. Contestants include Minjee Lee, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, Atthaya Thitikul, Lexi Thompson, Hyo Joo Kim, Nasa Hataoka, and In Gee Chun.

Not only them, but ten former winners will also participate in this year’s tournament, including NASA Hataoka. Paula Creamer will also return to the field for the first time after having a daughter. The golfer received a lot of fame for winning the US Women’s Open in 2010.

Purse, prize money and winner’s share for the Dana Open 2022

The LPGA Tour has grown tremendously in recent years. Golf legends like Nelly Korda and In Gee Chun have contributed greatly to the development and growth of the circuit. And it was the players who took the tour to a level where prize money and purses kept growing.

This year’s total purse for the tournament has been set at $1.75 million, the winner of which will receive $262,500. The estate is currently run by Lydia Ko, Danielle Kang, Brooke Henderson and a few others. Here is the individual player prize money for this year’s Dana Open:

Other perks for players at this year’s event

There are many more perks and benefits other than prize money for players who manage to qualify for Dana Open 2022. And most of these perks are specifically for the winner. Whoever manages to win the tournament will earn 500 points towards the CME globe race. The winner will also receive a two-plus-year exemption on the LPGA Tour, as well as fixed seats in other major tournaments.
