Drive-thru backpacks and school supplies for back to school 2021 at Foundation 45 Mitsubishi

HOUSTON – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Primary school children in need of FREE BACKPACKS and SCHOOL SUPPLIES will be assisted through the drive-thru backpacks and school supplies back to school 2021 benefiting community school children from Kindergarten to Grade 5 in Need Aldine Independent School District and Spring Independent School District as well as other parts of Houston.

The Drive-Thru will take place at Foundation 45 Mitsubishi located at 1-45 at the Richey Exit on August 14 from 9:00 a.m. to noon (16210 North Freeway, Houston TX, 77090, 713-804-5299). All children who need backpacks and school supplies are encouraged to come and pick up the supplies while they last. Sponsors are also invited to participate in this event.

This community event is brought to you with the kind support of La Rosa Family Services, local Houstonians, the 45 Mitsubishi Foundation, and area organizations and businesses. La Rosa is a 501 (c) 3 community-based non-profit organization founded in 1995 to help families, primarily women and children, exposed to domestic violence and abuse. Their mission is to help victims of domestic violence and abuse, prevent future abuse and promote children’s health and safety by raising community awareness, empowering individuals and providing positive alternatives to families. Their customers come from 55 different postal codes in Greater Houston. About half are from the predominantly Hispanic region of Northside / Northeast Houston, an area with few community / social services nearby and easily accessible. This has enabled La Rosa to tackle a wide range of family and individual issues both through direct service and referrals to collaborating agencies and organizations.

La Rosa Family Services is happy to partner with companies that promote and sponsor this event, such as the 45 Mitsubishi Foundation and all the valuable sponsors who contribute money, time and service.

The pandemic has wreaked havoc in many underserved communities in Houston and help is needed to help many children. According to Juan Martinez, Managing Director and Operating Partner of 45 Mitsubishi Foundation, “Our team is committed to giving back to the community that our company serves. We are particularly proud to help children in need in our region with a good start to the school year. We believe that backpacks full of school supplies will provide children with a foundation to start the school year with pride and confidence.
