Milton, Ontario – The management of Woodbine Entertainment announced today that a mandatory payment will be offered on the Standardbred Jackpot Hi-5 this Saturday (July 3) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The Hi-5 Jackpot carryover currently sits at $ 156,293 after Tuesday night’s card. The Jackpot Hi-5 bet will continue to be offered on every card until Saturday’s mandatory payout. Horseplayers have two more opportunities to win the full Jackpot on Thursday and Friday.
The Hi-5 Jackpot requires riders to select the top five in order. A horse player can only win the full jackpot if he holds the only winning ticket for that evening’s bet. If there are multiple winning tickets, half of the prize pool is paid, while the other half is added to the carryover.
This Saturday’s mandatory payment will see the full carry-over, plus new money wagered, paid to anyone who correctly selects the top five in order. The Hi-5 Jackpot has a minimum of 20 cents and a withdrawal of 15 percent.
The compulsory payment of the Jackpot Hi-5 will take place during the last race of this Saturday (race 11). A passing field of 12 coaches will participate in the CA $ 24,000 event for non-winners of CA $ 9,000 from the last five starts or CA $ 17,000 from the last 10 starts. Woodbine Mohawk Park recently moved post position 10 from a vanishing point back to the gate, allowing for a maximum field size of 12 (10 on gate, two trailers).
Live races continue every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Post time is 7 p.m.
