Prize money payout, standings and how much each golfer won
The final 2022 Astara Golf Championship standings are led by winner Brandon Matthews, who took the big win with a win at Country Club de Bogota in Bogota, Colombia.
Matthews fired a second straight under-66 shot in the final round to claim victory in the final Latin American event this season. His 19-under 264 total was good enough for a one-shot win over Ben Griffin and Ryan McCormick.
Joey Garber finished in fourth place in solo with an under-17 total.
Matthews took home the $135,000 winner’s share of the $750,000 purse.
Astara Golf Championship Summary Notes
Matthews earned 14 Official World Golf Ranking points with the win, but most importantly he earned 500 points on the Korn Ferry Tour, which should bring him closer to earning a PGA Tour card for 2022-23.
This week the cut was made at 4 under 137 or better, with 71 players advancing to the final two rounds.
The Korn Ferry Tour 2022 program continues next week with the LECOM Suncoast Classic in Florida.
